Rick is AMAZING, and a very cool guy. He sent me (for a nominal fee) videos of numerous years of the snare competitions he has won - what a MONSTER. I've corresponded with him off and on - he's an opinionated guy, but has the knowledge to back his opinions.

Also, his book The Rudimental Drummer is THE hardest snare book I've EVER worked with. If you want a brutal bunch of rudimental exercises and etudes, this is a good one.
